Abstract
During recent years the quality of IoT based monitoring services has continuously increased due to the growing market requirements, on the one hand, and with support of various technological advances like Cloud-IoT architectures, next-generation IoT with distributed intelligence, edge and fog computing, advanced analytics of heterogeneous data, on the other hand. Health monitoring is an important driver and a priority beneficiary of this evolution. Considering the complexity of IoT monitoring services, the service offer integrator role has the advantage of a unique point of contact in relation to service users and beneficiaries. To illustrate this approach the health monitoring architecture being currently implemented in the RO-SmartAgeing project is presented and two adoption scenarios of this business model are proposed, for the case of small medical units and large hospitals, respectively.
